Meet APA’s Kittens!
We have a continually changing roster of kittens. Many are in foster until they’re old enough, large enough and healthy for adoption. Once ready, most are available to meet at the Clarksville PetSmart Adoption Center or at the shelter. Please follow our Facebook page for regular updates. All of our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV & Leukemia, and should be current on vaccinations at the time of adoption.
APA strongly believes you should adopt two kittens together so they can entertain themselves and be best buddies.

Browse below to see our cats listed on Petfinder.com, or follow our Facebook HERE to receive updates of new arrivals! Remember we are a small non-profit organization that is run solely by volunteers and from donations. We don’t always have the time to list each new arrival as we are busy with the kitties.
Before you adopt, please review our Adoption Checklist to help you with your decision-making.
We have an adoption process that includes an application. You can download and print the adoption application here and bring it to the shelter or PetSmart or you can complete the form online via the Adoption Form button at the top of the page.
APA volunteers will acknowledge your adoption application within 24 hours. If you do not receive a reply by then, please email us at info@apa.com. Early communications will be via email. Please be sure to check your email account.
It takes time to review the application and follow up with the contacts provided. Very rarely do cats leave APA the same day their potential adopter turns in an application.
The APA adoption fee is eighty dollars ($80.00). The adoption fee may be waived under special or unusual circumstances by agreement of two APA officers.
Frame It! is sponsoring 50% of the adoption fee for shelter cats age 2 and older. Learn more.
We feel very strongly that you should have a plan in place to care for your cat should you suddenly became ill, incapacitated or pass away. It doesn’t matter if you are 25 or 75, you need a plan.
In adopting a cat our goal is to provide for their safety and comfort. We strive to alleviate their suffering and work to place them in homes that provide a responsible lifetime commitment to them. Because of this we require potential adopters to be at least 21 years of age and be employed or have a source of income. Proof of age may be required.
We also have an Adoption Agreement that all adopters must sign. It includes agreeing to keep the cat safe and living indoors as well as acknowledging that adopting a cat is a LIFETIME commitment.
